Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize scalable data pipelines and workflows for efficient data processing and storage. You will work on both batch and real-time data processing, ensuring high performance and data integrity. With expertise in cloud platforms and big data tools, you will help manage data infrastructure, improve data quality, and ensure compliance with governance and security standards.

This role also involves close collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to support data-driven initiatives.

•Data Engineering & ETL: ETL/ELT processes, Apache Airflow, dbt, Luigi, Prefect, Kafka, Spark, Flink

•Databases & Storage: SQL/NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra), Snowflake, Redshift, Iceberg, Delta Lake, and Apache Hudi

•Programming & Cloud Platforms: Python, Scala, Java, AWS/GCP/Azure, Lambda, EMR, Dataproc, Docker, Kubernetes

•Big Data & Performance Optimization: Spark, Hadoop, Beam, query optimization, data modeling, data governance, GDPR, HIPAA

Role & Responsibilities

•Data Pipeline Development & Management: Design and optimize scalable data pipelines for efficient ingestion, transformation, and storage.

•ETL/ELT Workflow Automation: Develop and automate ETL workflows for high-performance data transformation.

•Database & Data Warehouse Management: Manage data models, schemas, and best practices for partitioning, indexing, and caching.

•Real-Time & Batch Data Processing: Build real-time data pipelines with Kafka, Spark, or Flink and optimize batch processing for efficiency.

•Cloud & Infrastructure Management: Deploy data infrastructure on cloud platforms and manage storage, security, and access controls.

•Data Quality & Governance: Implement data validation, monitoring, lineage tracking, and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.

•Collaboration & Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decisions and maintain clear documentation of pipelines and architecture.
