As a Lead Data Engineer, you will architect, build, and manage scalable data pipelines for real-time and batch processing. You will play a key role in optimizing data storage, improving query performance, and leading cloud migration efforts. Your expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and cloud platforms will help deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions.
Additionally, you will mentor and lead a team of data engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
•Data Engineering & ETL Pipelines: Expertise in ETL/ELT design and orchestration (Apache Airflow, dbt, Luigi, Informatica), real-time and batch processing (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Apache Flink).
•Database & Storage Technologies: Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra), data warehousing and lakehouse solutions (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse, Delta Lake, Iceberg), query optimization, partitioning, and indexing.
•Cloud & Infrastructure: Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), serverless data pipelines (AWS Glue, Lambda, Databricks), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
•Programming & Automation: Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK), CI/CD pipelines for data applications (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
•Data Governance & Security: Knowledge of data governance (DMBOK, DAMA), data security (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2), role-based access controls (RBAC), and audit logging.
•Data Infrastructure Development & Optimization: Architect and manage scalable data pipelines, ensuring performance, availability, and reliability.
•ETL/ELT & Data Integration: Design and implement efficient ETL/ELT workflows, automating data ingestion from multiple sources.
•Data Storage & Performance Optimization: Optimize data warehouses and lakehouses for high-performance analytics. Implement best practices for partitioning, indexing, and query optimization.
•Cloud & Big Data Platform Management: Lead cloud migration and modernization efforts, managing serverless and distributed computing frameworks for scalability.
•Data Governance & Compliance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with data security regulations and implementing data quality checks.
•Cross-Team Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to drive data-driven solutions. Mentor and lead a team of data engineers in best practices.
•Technology Evaluation & Innovation: Stay updated with emerging big data and cloud technologies and drive the adoption of modern data engineering tools and methodologies.
